Les Benjamins has teamed up with Esra Gülmen, an Istanbul-born and Berlin-based visual artist and designer who takes us on a discovery trip through urban cityscapes with meaningful messages. ‘’This collaboration with Les Benjamins is an exploration beyond the boundaries of street art,” explains Esra Gülmen. “We didn’t use walls to spread our feminist messages, but the streetwear clothes we designed together. And I believe that through this collection we are able to raise awareness in a powerful and inspirational way.”

Using feminist statements written on urban city staples as their creative guiding thread, Gülmen, and Aydin have been exploring how street art from our daily lives in the city interferes – and inspires! – our modern-day street styles, and vice versa.

In this context, the freedom of movement, and the abolishment of any physical restraints are primordial. Therefore, athleisure styles – including hoodies, oversized or cropped unisex t-shirts, sweatpants and sleek dresses – are emphasized by an urban color palette of charcoal, off-white, grey, sky blue, and a mix of comfy jersey and cotton fabrics.
